Craig Keys, JD, MA

Craig Keys, JD, MA has extensive experience in the academic, government, non-profit and private sectors, and currently serves as the University of Southern California’s Associate Vice President of Civic Engagement. In addition to teaching courses in civic engagement, government, urban planning and environmental law, Craig’s public policy experience includes roles as Senior Redevelopment Manager for the City of Thousand Oaks Community Development Department, Legislative Policy Manager for the City of Los Angeles’ Community Redevelopment Agency, Business Development Director for the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Economic Development, and legal and leadership roles at the San Francisco Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights.

His community and public service activities include serving on the Board of Trustees for Antioch University; as Commissioner of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s District Export Council; Commissioner of the 33rd Assembly District Commission on the Economy & Environment in Los Angeles; and treasurer of the Los Angeles Historic Preservation Overlay Zone Board.
